Group Exercise Class Descriptions

CARDIO

BOOT CAMP: A total body workout! Short, intense cardiovascular segments followed by strength training segments and core conditioning. (55 minutes)

RBC Conditioning: (Rock Bottom Cardio Conditioning)- Total lower body shaping exercises. Incorporating cardio, weights, Plyo-metrics and Pilates based moves. (55 Minutes)

BOSU KICKS: A combination of athletic drills on the BOSU and floor, finishing with core challenge and stretching. (55 minutes)

CARDIO CHALLENGE: Join us for an hour of combined athletic step. Rebounding, plyo-metrics, and weight work. A true heart-pounding workout! (55 Minutes)

A.M. CYCLE: An early morning ride to get your heart pumping and your eyes open. (55 Minutes)

CYCLING: Suited for all fitness levels. This 55-minute class combines entertainment and exercise in one fat-burning, thigh-trimming package.

VICIOUS CYCLE: This advanced 55-minute class challenges rider’s endurance and toughness. Extreme components include intervals out-of-the-saddle riding, jumps and sprints. Beginners always welcome and should speak with the instructor before class for set up help. All participants should bring water for re-hydrating and a towel.

NIA: NIA (Neuromuscular Integrative Action) is a body-mind-spirit practice through expressive movement. This creative and energizing one-hour class blends a range of rhythmic music styles with a flexible structure so that each individual can make their own movement choices to suit their individual needs. NIA classes will run through the month of May only and are not included in the cost of membership. A separate fee is required to attend this class.

SCULPT

ABDOMINATRIX: 30 minutes of abdominal submission led by our own Mistress of Sculpt Jon Milazzo.

BASIC MAT PILATES: Based on the teachings of Joseph Pilates, this core-conditioning class will strengthen and lengthen all major muscle groups. Relaxation, proper technique and breathing are also covered. Open to all, including beginners. This would be an excellent addition to your workout program. (55 Minutes)

BALL PILATES: (see description above for Pilates) This class is a step up! The use of props will be combined with the ball for a more challenging and focused work out. Previous Pilates experience is helpful and a basic understanding of Pilates is highly recommended.  (55 Minutes)

ULTIMATE CONDITIONING: Come prepared to be pushed to the limit as you are taken through a total body workout by our own A.M. diva. (55 minutes)

YOGA/FLEXIBILITY

INTRO TO YOGA: This 70 minute class is designed to those new to yoga and those wishing to build a solid and thorough foundation for a future advanced practice.  This morning class will cover basic meditation, breathing techniques and beginner asanas (postures) all within the classic framework of Hatha Yoga.  An overall sense of relaxation, increased strength and flexibility as well as integration between heart, body and mind are just a few of the benefits this class can bring to the regular student.

HATHA FLOW YOGA: This class emphasizes fluidity and grace, allowing the integrity of the pose to manifest through consistent attunement to the breath. The instructor seeks to create a space that allows students to explore their practice with curiosity and authenticity. (70 Minutes) 

BASIC VINYASA YOGA/FLOW VINYASA: Vinyasa yoga is the steady flow of connected yoga postures linked with breath work in a continuous movement. All levels welcome. (55 Minutes)

YANG STYLE TAI CHI: Slow evenly paced movements connected with the breath and mind to strengthen and harmonize the body & spirit. Tai Chi focuses on correct alignment and relaxation, core principles of form and development, and moving “qi” or energy throughout the energetic pathways of the body. (55 minutes)
